Custom Frame Bag

from $185.00

Dimensions: Custom

I think this is my favorite bag I’ve made so far! The green one pictured includes all the options, including a main compartment (slide 4), a lower compartment (slide 5), and a “map pocket” on the non-driveside. The main compartments are divided by a Velcro flap so the entire compartment can be used for larger items or grocery runs where overall usable space is more important than organization (slide 6, flap open).

Made from a waterproof, recycled ripstop fabric, with storm flaps over the zippers, the bag is overall water resistant. The interior fabric is a bright color so your gear is more visible. One slight difference from the prototype pictured: yours will have burlier zippers.

The bag attaches to the frame with laced paracord on top and Velcro tabs on the down tube and seat tube.

Since these are custom, if you want space for a water bottle on the seattube or, in the one on my bike pictured, for a carrying strap, we’ll make the template to accommodate that.

Options:

  1. $185, Standard: One main driveside compartment without other options. One zipper.

  2. $205, Map Pocket: One large driveside compartment with a map pocket on the non-driveside. Note that the map pocket does not extend to the bottom of the bag on mine (hard to reach into the bottom), though I’m experimenting with it on shorter bags. One zipper each side.

  3. $205, Divider: Two upper/lower compartments divided by a Velcro flap. No Map Pocket. Two zippers on driveside.

  4. $225, Deluxe: Two compartments divided by a Velcro flap, with a map pocket on the non-driveside. Three zippers.

If the distance of the seat tube between the top tube and where the seat tube meets the down tube (at the bottom by the cranks) is less than 43cm/17”, I would not recommend a divider or the lower compartment won’t be very useful. Thanks to Orion for the pics featuring my bags from his recent trip! His frame was right at 17” and we decided to just do a main compartment and map pocket, though I extended it all the way down on this smaller frame.

Please watch my video on how to make a template. Depending on your frame, you might be able to just take measurements. After placing your order, please send me a message and I’ll give you my address to send the template, if you need to make one. If you want to discuss options feel free to message me before placing an order. Or find me at an event!

Colors available are pictured in the swatches (from left to right): Teal, Lilac, Crimson, Forest green, Olive green, and Black. They can be all one color or multiple. I like using a different color for the storm flaps and outer edge of the bag (in contact with the frame). If I don’t currently have the colors you choose when you place an order, I can suggest others, or obtain that color (will increase total time). Linings will all be grid orange.

A note on shipping: I may compress the bag slightly to get it into a box that falls under the price cutoff for box dimension. Any wrinkling from this should disappear with use.
