Versatile Zip Tote (fits Wald 137 basket)

$95.00

Dimensions: 20.5” × 14.75” (expanded/flat) OR 20.5” top length (zipper opens 18.25”) x 13” x 8”

I recently redesigned this bag to make it more useful. Made of durable, water resistant waxed canvas, it can be expanded to accommodate bulky items and for maximum volume, or the cords can be looped onto the side buttons for a more traditional structured shape. In this configuration it can be secured to a Wald 137 basket. With double zipper pulls and a long opening, it’s easy to look into and load.

There is an external zippered compartment measuring 8.375” wide by 8” tall, and a similarly sized pouch on the opposite side. The wide straps distribute weight well when slung over a shoulder.

This is a great market or workout bag; it also fits a standard 14” x 17” drawing pad and makes a good traveling art bag. To attach to a bike basket, just fold the bottoms up and pass the cords outside the top rail of the basket and loop onto the buttons. On the bike, I usually put a U-lock in the rear pouch and also tuck the straps there when riding to keep them out of the way. I use the front zip pouch for repair tools. This bag bounces a little more in the basket than my bike-specific basket bag with more features (Wald 137 Bag). It also holds a little less than that bag when in a bike configuration.

The navy bag pictured is the old version, just to show the color. I’ll update it soon. Please note that waxed canvas will develop a patina with use, even a little during the sewing process.

A note on shipping: I will compress the bag slightly to get it into a box that falls under the price cutoff for box dimension.
